The leaves that were so beautiful the first of the month are now covering lawns and clogging gutters; the stock market has been bouncing up and down like a yo-yo; the stores are filled with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, and the wee ones are getting ready for their annual costumed sugar high. It must be the end of October.
