For the 2nd year in a row, Royal United Mortgage LLC employees participated in the Tough Mudder event. This year the event took place on June 27th in Sparta, KY and our team included 16 employees from both our Indy and Schaumburg offices. Our team joined over 7,000 individuals who ran it and conquered the obstacles!

Running or walking 3.17 miles might not sound like everyone’s favorite activity but on June 18th Royal United Mortgage LLC employees volunteered and ran in the first in a series of 5Ks benefiting local charities.

The 2015 Tyler Genneken Foundation Be The Match Bounce Bash and Dodgeball Tournament took place at Sky Zone in Fishers, IN on Monday June 15th. Royal United Mortgage LLC has sponsored this event for the last 3 years and a group of employee volunteers raised money for the foundation. Royal United Mortgage LLC supports this event to make a difference in the lives of many people affected by Leukemia and other cancers.

On June 5th Royal United Mortgage LLC hosted its 5th annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Best Choice Fieldhouse in Fishers, Indiana. 16 three-person teams participated, for a total of 48 Royal United Mortgage LLC employees. They showed off their hoops skills (or in some cases the lack thereof).

It was time to “batter up” as over 200 Royal United Mortgage LLC employees and their family members headed out to Victory Field Sunday to kick off summer and enjoy a day of baseball! While the Indians ended up with a loss, it was a WIN for Royal United Mortgage LLC. We all cheered when we saw our name on the scoreboard!

Being a lifelong East Sider, I’ve seen the good the bad and the ugly on my side of town… and there has been a lot of ugly.  On Friday, May the 29th, a group of volunteers got together to show the beauty of the city of Indianapolis and her surrounding communities, the businesses that support her, and the people of the East Side.

How many of us have a real 5 year plan?  A 10 year plan? A retirement plan?  Do we really take the time to sit down with our financial thoughts and itemize them to make sure we are leveraging assets in the most efficient way possible?  The truth is that far too few do.
