Personal Development

Training for the Federal Exam

Certain roles within our company require federal licensure. Our live, instructor lead, three-week training program covers the fundamentals of the mortgage industry as well as test-taking tips so that those coming into a Loan Advisor role feel more confident going into the exam.

Licensing and Education Fees

For those roles where specific testing and licenses are
required as long as you are an employee in good standing,
Royal United will cover half of those costs upfront. The
balance is deducted in nominal amounts from your check
each week until paid in full.

Classroom Learning

We utilize an extensive library of classroom-based trainings
designed to increase your skills as you progress through your
career.

Self-Paced, Online Learning

Continuing Education / Tuition Reimbursement

Investing in higher learning benefits both you and the company, however, it can be expensive. To offset that cost Royal United offers a tuition reimbursement program when certain criteria are met.

Medical Care

RUM offers high-quality, affordable medical coverage to all eligible employees. Using Anthem’s expansive network of providers, employees at every location have access to medical services that fit their needs. Employees may choose from a variety of plan types to cover themselves, spouses, children, or the entire family.

Live Well Review

Live Well Review helps raise awareness about your personal health status. Used as an incentive to lower medical premium costs, employees participate in the
program by getting an annual checkup with their primary care physician. This confidential screening will help you understand and stay in control of your health.

Wellness Programs

Gym Membership Reimbursement

As an extension of our commitment to health and wellness, Royal United has partnered with Lifetime Fitness to offer our employees the experience of a premium gym membership. Costs associated with a basic single membership will be reimbursed if the employee goes 8 days or more a month. In addition to Lifetime, Royal United will reimburse up to a certain dollar amount at other fitness centers, both in person and online, based on attendance.

Whether you have a short—or long-term injury or illness, we want to protect your income during some of life’s tougher moments. We offer excellent income protection benefits so you can have peace of mind, knowing that you and your loved ones are financially protected no matter what happens.

Life Insurance

Royal United provides you with life insurance so that you may help provide for the financial well-being of your beneficiaries. The benefit payable to the plan’s beneficiaries is one times (1x) your annual earnings plus $25,000 up to $225,000. There is no cost to you for this benefit; however, this benefit may be subject to imputed income as determined by the IRS. You also have the option to purchase supplemental life insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your children.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

AD&D insurance pays a benefit if you lose your life, limbs, and/or vision due to an accident. It covers you on and off the job, 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world. Royal United provides AD&D coverage at $25,000 plus one times (1x) your annual earnings up to $225,000. There is no cost for this benefit.

401(k) Plan

Whether you are just starting out or are more settled in your career, investing in the future means something different to everyone. We are committed to helping our employees meet their retirement needs. We do this by automatically enrolling our employees in our 401(k) plan so you can begin saving for retirement as soon as you are eligible. You can save up to the maximum IRS limits each year, and Royal United will match 20% of the amount you have contributed for the year. In addition, as part of your tenured service, Royal United will contribute $100 to your 401(K) on every anniversary.

401(k) Plan Investment Options

Empower, our 401(K) plan provider, offers a wide range of investment options. From target date funds to customized investment options, as well as pre and post-tax options, they can assist you in meeting all of your savings objectives.

Time Off

We believe it is important to take time off in order to recharge and rest.

  • Our Paid Parental Leave policy offers up to 4 paid weeks off, based on your tenure, after the birth of your child, or placement of an adopted child.
  • Vacation, personal, and sick time starts accruing after 90 days of employment for full-time employees. You will be eligible for 17 PTO days during your first full year. Our accrual rate increases with tenure.
  • Royal United observes 8 paid holidays per year where the company is officially closed; New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days) and Christmas.
  • We are proud to say that many members of our team serve our country and that we are happy to give the necessary time off for their military duty by offering military leave.
